Water Conditions — Temps in the mid 40’s with perfect conditions.

The dark water is getting pretty light on fish.  We spent about 3/4 of today fishing the best holes, runs and pockets I could find and never hit a steelhead, though the browns were biting well.  All of our steelhead were from gravel and many areas had fish.  Hot flies were pink and white nuke eggs, bunny hexs, blueburgs and pearl jam shrimp… there were few stones on the water today and we had no luck throwing them.

The trout, due to the unseasonably warm water temps, were interested in aggressive presentations like you would use at the end of April and May.
