Water Conditions — Temps in the high 30’s with up & dirty conditions.
USGS Real-Time Data for the Pere Marquette River at Scottville, Michigan

While the lower PM seemed to have a lot of traffic this week, by all reports, the fishing went flat.  The upper half of the river turned on big-time with a push of fresh steelhead following the warmer weather and rising water.  While it may seem funny, the river cooled several degrees the last few days with the warmer weather.  It got warm enough to start melting lots of snow and that flood of cold water dropped temps from the low forties back down to the mid to high thirties.

Black stones are around but they haven’t been productive for our crew yet.  Top patterns have been nuke and sparkle eggs, bunny hex and Pearl Jam Shrimp.

It looks like high water is on the way for the next few days.
