Hot Chrome King Salmon on the PM River
Pere Marquette Guide report provided by Indigo Guide Service of West Michgian.
PM fishing report for August 24, 2009
Click Here To Check Out Our New “Red Hot Pere Marquette Salmon” Video. A fun video of Indigo Guides Mark Knee and Kevin Morlock being joined by Walt Grau of the Spey Rod Outfitter and Guide Service fishing the lower PM River. We were throwing Storm Thundersticks on spinning gear and getting destroyed by these silver hot fish. This has to be the hottest fishing in Michigan at this time of the year.
Water Conditions — Temps in the 50’s, A bit high with color.
Fishing Conditions — The salmon fishing really turned on last week and has remained good. As usual these August kings are red hot. For every fish you put in the net there are several that did amazing things before they let themselves free. Make sure that all of your knots, line, hooks and other rigging and gear are ready before you tie into some of these tigers.
There are fresh fish moving through the lower river and spotty fishing throughout the middle sections. A friend had a good day above Rainbow Rapids Access last week.
Have Fun!
