High dirty water on the Pere Marquette with good steelhead numbers
Pere Marquette River fishing report provided by Indigo Guide Service
PM River report for April 28th, 2009
Water Conditions —High & stained. Temps in the upper 40’s.
Fishing Conditions — “Trout Opener” is here and gone so the river can now heal after a busy weekend, the river is stained but steelhead fishing is good. Knowing where the fish should be is critical and at this time you need to concentrate your efforts around the spawning gravels. Big bright egg patterns or big nymph/streamers like my Martinez’s Steelhead Caveman… anything that will move allot of water and get their attention. In stained water persistence will pay off… fish a quality area completely before moving on.
Please catch and release -Steve Martinez
