Fishing Report, PM River - April 8th, 2009

Water Conditions — Average to low levels, getting clear, temps around 40.

Fishing Conditions — Very consistent fishing with steelhead available from M-37 to Walhalla, fish numbers from Walhalla down have become spotty. Tiny Black Stonefly patterns, Grau’s Easy Sculpin and peach eggs have been solid patterns.  We have also had luck swinging large brown trout looking streamers, the MDNR planted brown’s in the 3 1/2 to 5 inch range several days ago and the steelhead must have figured out they’re an easy meal.  We’ve also picked up some nice Brown’s along with steelhead smolt on these streamers.
