West Michigan fly fishing report for the Pere Marquette River for May 19th, 2008

Water Conditions — Average depth and clarity.

Fishing Conditions — The dry fishing is really starting to pick up with some of the hatches being in their prime. Streamer fishing is still also very good on any day that’s cloudy or when the sun isn’t directly on the water. With water temps prime right now and the majority of steel gone, trout are eagerly and opportunistically feeding. Making for a great chance to bring out both the dry and streamer rod and put them too good work in the same evening — in my opinion you can’t beat that. Summing things up, great  time of the year for half day evening trips.  Good luck out there Jory Dirkse.
