Pere Marquette River guide report for April 2nd, 2008

Water Conditions - High & Dirty… we just had a big rain but the river should be perfect in a few days.

Fishing Conditions - Fair but the fishing should improve with warmer conditions for the rest of the spring.  It’s been a cold winter and spring so far and everything is late.  Most fishing is in the holes for prespawn fish but more fish have been spawning everyday.

Tip - Try something different.  When everyone else if drifting the usual stuff try something different like a sink-tip and streamers.  You can often pick-up a fish using something totally different even after others have fished the spot.
